You'll see a steep concrete driveway with an overhead wooden sign reading "The Umauma Experience". Turn up the drive and the Visitor Center will be at the top on the right.

Approximate drive time: 2 hours

Head towards Hwy 19 towards Kawaihae.
Turn right at Kawaihae towards Waimea/Honokaa/Hilo.
Follow Hwy 19 through Waimea and pass Honokaa towards Hilo
Past Honokaa, start paying attention to mile maarkers.
After mile marker 17, turn right on Kauniho Road.
Follow 1/3 mile to end and turn LEFT on Old Mamalahoa Hwy.
Drive in about 1/3 mile. You will see our signs by the old Umauma bridge.
Turn right and follow the steep driveway a short distance to the visitors center.
