“The Umauma Falls Experience was the highlight of our time in Hilo”
Erin Henry – My family visited The Big Island in July of this year. The Umauma Falls Experience was the highlight of our time in Hilo. I have to be honest, I was pretty nervous to take this tour. I was nervous about general safety, but I was also nervous because we were taking our 11 year old child who has special needs. He is always up for an adventure, but you never quite know how he is going to react to a new experience until the moment arrives. We paid for our tour with the understanding that it might not work out, and he might not want to go through with the experience. We were all so thankful that the experience we had on this tour was better than I ever could have imagined. I felt absolutely safe the entire time. The staff was all wonderful! We had Kip, “Holls”, and Katie, and they were all not only amazing people, but they were fantastic with my son, Colten. Katie, in particular, spent extra time with Colten to make him feel comfortable. When he was hesitant to go on his own she rode tandem with him. He ended up riding tandem with her for the rest of the day. He was so excited that he had a “sidekick”. At the end of the tour he asked if we could go again tomorrow. I seriously cannot emphasize enough how wonderful our experience was, and how wonderful the staff were. Thank you so much for this amazing memory! – The Henry Family
“Zip Lining on Hawaii’s Big Island”
Mary Ellen M – There are very few things in life that have the ability to captivate just about anyone from the often fearless, little four year-old to the brave but wiser adult and everyone who falls somewhere in between. Zip lining in Hawaii IS one of those things. A fantastic family adventure on Hawaii’s Big Island, the Umauma Falls & ZipLine Experience is entertaining, exhilarating and memorable, to say the least. Pinky swear!
“Ziplines above triple-tiered Umauma Falls BREATHTAKING!”
There seems to be new ziplines popping up all the time in Hawaii, but the best one I’ve ever done I did twice: Umauma Falls. There are a bunch of zips, but the side-by-side dual zip over the waterfalls is a SCREAM! I really did scream my head off, it’s a little scary but safe. The views of lush jungle and a huge stream/waterfalls below are staggering, it makes you feel like you’re doing stunts for a beautiful movie or something. The new giant swing is also a real thrill, so amazing! A bunch of couples tried it with us, it made for a very memorable day, I’ll never forget it!
“Their zipline is WAY ABOVE all the rest!!!”
FREAKING AWESOME! They did a fantastic job of putting together an afternoon adventure for me and a friend for my birthday. They are top of the line in safety, I’d put my grandmother on it.! The guys had us feeling so comfortable on the ziplines, by the third one we were all hanging upside down!! Can’t wait to do it again! – Joyce and Terri of the Big Island
“A safe, must do adventure that will leave you wanting more”
Although I’ve heard about zip-lining, this was my first experience and I was a bit apprehensive about the safety factor. After the orientation and the one-on-one equipment check I was totally at ease. The Zipline started out slow which was perfect for someone new. Once I passed the first platform I wanted more and I got it platform after platform along with the longest Zipline on the island at 2045 feet, what a sensational rush. If that wasn’t enough, have them place you on their high flying swing that catapults you over a hundred feet high with a beautiful river below. I would definitely do it all over again the next time I’m on the Big Island. Rogue62 Honolulu, Hawaii

Umauma Ziplining was as they say “An Experience Of A Lifetime!” The instructors are great and very friendly and really enjoy their job. Also the Umauma falls are drop dead gorgeous! I really recommend it! – Michael D. Laguna Beach, California
So Much Fun!
Had a fantastic time as first time zipliners! The staff were helpful, knowledgable, safety conscious, and determined that every participant had a wonderful experience. It was a bit expensive, but it is not something you would do all the time. BUT you should try it at least once! The views were breathtaking.
